Policy Overview
Cost: As little as £5.00 per month for a cat and £8.50 per month for a dog. Online Quote
Payment Options: You can now pay for Tesco Pet Insurance with Clubcard vouchers.
Age Limits: Your pet must be at least 8 weeks old. Tesco will cover most cats and dogs that are in good health.
Illness and Injury Limits: Standard Cover provides cover for fees up to £2,500 per condition for a maximum of 12 months. Extra Cover provides cover for fees up to £4,000 per condition, with no time limit.
What if my pet . . .
Causes Harm or Damage to Someone Else: 24-hour access to a Legal Advice line. Up to £2 million in liability insurance if your dog causes an accident or damages someone's property.
Becomes lost: Up to £1,000 towards advertising and reward. Plus, up to £1,500 towards the purchase price if your pet is never recovered.
Death: 24 hour access to a bereavement support line. Plus, up to £1,500 towards the purchase price if your pet is fatally hurt in an accident.
What if I am . . .
Hospitalized: Up to £500 for emergency kennel/cattery fees if you are hospitalized for more than 4 days.
On Holiday: Up to £5,000 for the cost of cancelling or cutting short your holiday.
Traveling Overseas: Up to £2 million in liability insurance if your dog causes an accident or damages someone's property (excluding the US and Canada). Up to £1,500 toward quarantine costs. Up to £300 for emergency expenses. Up to £250 to cover a lost pet passport, and cover of repeat tick and worming treatment.
