Body Description:

This dog breed is sturdy and small. They have short and round feet with black nails. Ears are erect on their head, which are narrowed at their tips and tan in colour. They have wide and round eyes, which are black in colour showing a bright expression on their face.

This dog is known for its long and hairy coat, which is similar to the texture of human hair. However, the length of its coat may vary from medium to long.

Weight and Height

The average height of this breed is around 18 to 20 cm, while the average weight is around 2 to 3 kg.

Nature and Temperament Generally, Yorkshire Terriers are small, but come with big attitude. They are affectionate to their family members and dominating over other dogs. Like all terriers, this breed will guard their family valiantly. They are not good with children, but may go well with them, if introduced to them in their earlier days.
Activities

This breed may not carry hardcore exercises. However, it is good to indulge them in walking, running and fetching for around 20 to 30 minutes on a daily basis.

Average lifespan The lifespan of this breed ranges between 9 to 15 years.
