Welsh Collies or Sheepdogs are known as hardest workers. However, this ability is completely different from their appearance. They may come in White-and-black, tri-colour or white-and-red. In addition, this breed may have marking of merle on their body.

It is believed that the origination of Welsh Collie took place in the 19th century in Wales. This breed has genes of Welsh as well as Collies of Scotland. In addition, the bloodlines of Welsh Collies contain genes of the Tan and Black Sheepdog, the Sable, the Old Welsh Grey or the blue-merle Hillman.
