Turkish Vans are sturdy with a broad chest and long legs. They have fine delicate hair. Eyes are large and oval-shaped having yellowish or pink shades. The muzzle is rounded. The head is wedge-shaped and broad. Nose is medium-sized and paws are rounded and neat.

Turkish Van is a semi-longhaired cat breed. It originally existed in the regions of southwest Asia. Cat breeders first brought this cat to England. However, there was a confusion regarding its name, as people mistook it for Turkish Angora. Hence, breeders named it Turkish Van.
