SphynxSphynx also known as Canadian Hairless has a unique look. This cat breed hailed from a hairless kitten known Prune born in the year 1966 in Canada. It was accepted in the championship course by the CFA (Cat Fancier’s Association) for vying with other cat breeds in the year 2002.

Body Description:

The big ears, hairless body and thin tail of Sphynx are almost invisible in any other cat breed. It is a medium-sized, muscular and elongated cat breed. The body is fully muscular and well rounded. Legs are well muscled and well proportioned. The tail is tapered and slender. Head is angular, medium-sized and triangular. It has big, lemon shaped and wide eyes.

Even though many think that, this cat breed is hairless, it is actually not. The coat is covered with soft and fine coat, which is almost imperceptible to one’s touch

Weight and Height Sphynx usually weighs 6 to 11 lbs and can grow up to 15 inches.
Nature and Temperament Sphynxs are highly affectionate and cordial towards their owners. They are loving, attention seeking and sweet cat breed. Though they prefer attention from their owners, they get well along with other cat-friendly dogs. They are active, mischievous and trainable to walk on a leash. In addition, they are inquisitive and adore being around with people. Sphynxs indulge themselves in silly jaunts for entertaining their owners regularly.
Activity

Though this cat breed enjoys socialising, it can amuse itself by playing with toys or by using a scratching post.

Life Span The average lifespan of Sphynx is 10 to 15 years.
