SiberianSiberian cat originated from Russia. The cat has its depictions and references in many documents and age-old Russian paintings. It is believed that some Russian immigrants introduced the Siberian cats to their hometown Russia, post their release from banishment in Siberia.

Body Description:

Siamese cats have strong body and sturdy hindquarters. They have a broad stomach. Siamese cats take nearly five years to attain full size. The head is broader. The ears are medium to large sized and tilt forwards. Eyes are rounded, neck is well muscled, and paws are large.

Body of Siberian cat displays a triple coat having a smooth fur. The fur has excessive colouration including dots. The fur does not mat.

Weight and Height

Male Siberian cats weigh around 15 to 20 pounds, whereas female Siberian cats weigh around 10 to 15 pounds. Approximate height is 13 inches.

Nature and Temperament

Siberian cats are loving and loyal toward their owners. They socialise with each member within a family and particularly love the company of children and dogs, except mice. They love caressing on their head and often need a lap for relaxing. Siberian cats are intuitive and popular for their agility.

Activity

Siberian cats have the natural desire for hunting. They follow instructions and perform tricks. Exercise in the open is necessary for the cat to be physically fit. As such, a daily walk in the woods or park will do.

Life Span Life expectancy of this cat is 15 years or more than that.
