Breeders bred the Serval with many domestic cats namely Ocicat, Egyptian Mau, Domestic Shorthair and Oriental Shorthair to obtain the Savannah breed.

Body Description:

This cat is lofty, as its neck, legs, and ears are long. The body features dark spots giving it an appearance of the Serval. It has a tall head. Next, tail of Savannah displays black rings along with a black tip. The cat has blue eyes.

Body coat of is thick with dark spots all over. Colour of the coat is brown with black markings.

Weight and Height

Savannah weighs around 20 pounds and its approximate height is 15 inches.

Nature and Temperament Savannahs are playful, friendly and active. They adore the company of dogs as well as children and socialise with strangers. They often growl and hiss like a snake. They are skilled jumpers. As such, they may jump easily at a place, which measures 8 feet. Savannahs are very inquisitive.
Activity

Savannah cats are sociable. They prefer playing with their own toys most of the time. They also play well with the scratching post.
