SamoyedThe second name of Siberian ancestors, mainly hunters and anglers is Samoyeds. They used a robust and beautiful dog for pulling their sleds on snow. This dog became popular by their name. Explorers brought this breed to England in the year of 1889 to develop and spread all around the world

Body Description:

This breed has a solid muscular body to work hard. This indicates that they have a good stamina. The Samoyed has a tough head of wedge shape with strong jaws and brown or black nose. They have long tails. This breed has muscular and strong legs to pull heavy objects. This breed is gentle and loving. Generally, they are kind to humans. Samoyeds are intelligent however, they may not do well in herding or guarding.

As originated in Siberia, the coat is double with long and thick fur. This breed has a harsh outer coat and soft undercoat to protect from the arctic cold. The coat requires frequent grooming.

Weight and Height

The average height of male Samoyeds is 21-23 inches and average height of female Samoyeds is 19-21 inches. Normal male Samoyeds may weigh around 45-65 pounds and normal female Samoyeds may weigh around 35-50 pounds.

Nature and Temperament Samoyeds are quiet alert in nature. They bark frequently on strangers to inform their masters about them. They may accept companionship with other dogs and cats with proper socialisation. This breed is friendly with children.
Activities This breed is very strong however it requires frequent exercise to be lively. They do very well in cold climate. However, they may do well in warm climate as well. The body temperature may increase in warm climate due to woolly coat hence they need proper rest and water.
Average Lifespan The average lifespan of this breed is 12-15 years.
