Rumanian sheepdogs are big and have a vigorous appearance. The body is rectangular, has broad croup, slightly inclined, with high and vast chest and long inclined shoulder. Male Rumanian dogs are bigger and stronger than its female counterparts. They have strong wolfish like head. The muzzle is strong and slightly in shape of truncated cone. The tail is bushy, straight or slightly sword shaped, when the dog is active it is held high and at rest it drops down
The Rumanian Sheepdog has double coat. The outer-coat is rough, hairy and straight. The undercoat is dense and soft. Except for the head hair is abundant on all parts of the body. Popularly they are found in sandy colour with various shades, which more often are lighter on the sides and darker over the body. |
