OcicatOcicat is a cat breed resulting from the cross of Siamese, Abyssinian Shorthair and American cat. A breeding program for producing Aby point Siamese led to the birth of ivory kitten. It had golden spots all over its body. This new breed became popular as Ocicat.

Body Description:

This cat is brawny and strong. It has a wild look. Head of this cat has a wedge. Its jaws and cheek are slightly curved. Eyes of the cat are almond-shaped and large. Its ears are also large. Its legs are long and muscular. Feet of the cat are compact and oval. Its tail is medium-slim.

Body coat of this cat displays dark spots. It has a silky shine. There are 12 colours of the coat. Those are blue silver, cinnamon, tawny, brown, chocolate silver, brown silver, silver, lavender, blue, chocolate colour and lavender silver.

Weight and Height

Male cat weighs 10 to 15 lbs, whereas female cat weighs 7 to 12 lbs. approximate height of the cat is 10 inches.

Nature and Temperament Ocicat is playful, active, and docile. It is affectionate towards its owner. It performs tricks such as opening doors and containers that hold its meal. It responds well to instructions.
Activity

Ocicat adapts itself easily to any environment. Owners need not coax the cat for playing, as it gets into the activity easily. A large house is better for the cat to play.

Life Span Life expectancy of this cat is 15 to 18 years.
