Body Description:

This cat is medium in size with a muscular body. The Japanese Bobtail and the Manx have similar looks. However, they are very different from each other. Its nose is well defined and long. Its ears are upright and large. This cat has round and large eyes. Its legs are long and slender. They have longer back legs as compared to their front legs. This cat has a tail of two to three inches long. Its tail usually has thicker hair than any part of their body.

This cat has a silky and a soft coat. The fur on their coat is medium in length. This coat requires minimal grooming.

Weight and Height The male Japanese Bobtail weighs around 7 to 10 lbs, while the female Bobtail weighs around 5 to 7 lbs. This cat may stand 8 to 9 inches tall.
Nature and Temperament This cat is intelligent and active. The Japanese Bobtail is a talkative cat and is believed to have an ability to sing. Their most-loved activity is to catch things with their mouth. They love to travel on the shoulders of their owner. This cat is very friendly with other pets as well as small children.
