Body Description:

This breed is a medium-sized dog with athletic physique. Dorset Old Tyme Bulldog has muscular shoulders with slight sloping. Their forelegs are well boned and straight. This breed has muscular and strong hindquarters. The head of this breed is large and strong with wrinkled skin. This breed has a broad nose with opened nostrils and wide ears.

The Body coat of this dog displays hair ringlets. Its face, tail and rear legs display short hair. Its coat is crisp-textured. It is brown in colour. Outer coat of the dog is curly. The hair ringlets on its head hang loosely.

Weight and Height

Irish Water Spaniel is 20 to 23 inches tall. It weighs around 20 to 30 kg

Nature and Temperament Irish Water Spaniel is confident and highly intelligent. It loves the company of human beings. It even stays well among other pets, if properly trained. The dog barks only when it eyes something with suspicion. Otherwise, the dog is reserved by nature. It is not aggressive.
Activities This dog breed needs enough exercise daily. It loves hunting, swimming, walking and retrieving. Owners need not restrict it to apartment dwelling. It stays well outdoors. As such, a big yard is better.
Average Lifespan Life expectancy of the dog is 10 to 12 years.
