It has v-shaped ears that tilt forward. It has bushy eyebrows. Front legs appear muscular, straight and long. The dog is red wheaten, red or golden red in color.

Body of the Irish Terrier displays double coat. Its outer coat appears dense and wiry, whereas under coat has the soft texture. The coat color is golden red, solid wheaten, bright red and red wheaten.

This dog is 18 inches tall. It weighs around 11 to 12 kg
