Gordon Setter is slender and tall. It has the feathery coat. Its head appears chiseled and long. Its ears are long and pointed that hang flat beside its head. Its eyes are oval and dark brown. Its chest reaches toward its elbows. Its front legs are straight and large-boned. The dog has cat-like feet. Its toes are arched and hairy.

Body coat of the Gordon Setter is medium in length. The coat is soft, silky and glossy. The dog has feathers on its ears, undercarriage, tail and legs. Color of the coat is black with tan markings. The dog is an average shedder.

Weight and Height Male dogs are 24 to 27 inches tall, whereas female dogs are 23 to 26 inches tall. As for their weight, male dogs weigh around 25 to 36 kg, whereas female dogs weigh 20 to 32 kg
Nature and Temperament Gordon Setter is cheerful and polite. The dog is sociable and friendly. It makes an excellent family dog. The dog does not get along well with strangers. It behaves aggressively, on encountering any dog of similar sex. The dog craves for human attention. It barks when left unnoticed for long hours.
