Golden IrishGolden is not a purebred dog, but a cross between Golden Retriever and Irish Setter.  This dog breed is originally recognized by the ACHC (American Canine Hybrid Club).


Body Description:

Golden Irish is feathered with abundant silky fur and is available in a variety of rich shades of mahogany to chestnut with splatters of dark brown on its entire body. In addition, some young breeds have grey-silver hair behind legs and ears, but disappear as it matures. It has triangular, soft and thin ears, and its legs are muscular and long.

It has a soft, flat and medium-length coat, which requires daily brushing to keep it in good condition. You need to keep its fur from tangles and burrs and give additional care when it is moulting. You need to use dry shampoo only when it is necessary.

Weight and Height This dog breed can grow up to 26 to 28 inches and female dogs can grow up to 24 to 26 inches. This dog breed weighs around 65 to 75 pounds and female dogs weigh around 25 to 29 pounds.
Nature and Temperament Golden Irish are intelligent, energetic, affectionate and high-spirited. They do not have any guarding instincts and get along well with other animals. They are highly responsive and sensitive too. This dog breed can be giddy, while a few are more reserved.
Activity

Golden Irish requires a daily brisk and long walk or else they become restless and you will find them difficult to manage. In addition, they enjoy running and playing in the fenced yard.

Life Span This dog breed has an average lifespan of around 11 to 15 years.
