Body Description:

German Hunt Terrier had narrow chest that allow it to enter dens with ease. Their legs are in proportion to the body avoiding stubbiness. They have a long tail, which stands upright. Some fawn markings can be found on the eyebrows, muzzle, chest, legs and base of the tail. They are usually black, dark brown or grayish black in color.

Their coat is plain dense either harsh or soft differing from one dog to other. However, the peculiarity of their coat is that, it is thick. They have sharp fangs that help them tear their prey with ease.

Weight and Height German Hunt Terrier weighs around 20 to 22 pounds and grows around 16 inches tall
Nature and Temperament They are above average barkers and very suspicious towards strangers. They can be good with children, if socialised well from birth. They are extremely independent and dominant and have a high desire to protect their territory. There are chances of them being restless with other pets, as they are independent and tend to loose their tempers, if not allowed to do what they want to.
Activity

They are extremely friendly and favourably active. They are playful and moderately intelligent. Due to their extreme friendly nature, they jell along well with children and adults. They are not aggressive towards strangers, however due to their combustible energy it is not recommended to pet this breed, as they are primarily of wild nature.

Life Span The lifespan of a German Hunt Terrier is around 12 to 15 years.
