mainly known for tracking hunting, agility and watchdogging.

The front legs of Foxhound are strong, long and straight-boned. The body is very muscular and fit. Foxhound has a sweet expression on its face due to the large brown or hazel coloured eyes. The coat is hard and short. It may be of any colour. It is very easy and simple to groom the coat of a Foxhound, as it has short hair. They are normal to low shedders

Foxhounds are free from disorders such as bone and hip problems. They are one of the healthiest breeds of dog. There are some cases of overweight. Hence, it is important to give only sufficient amount of food.

The normal height of a Foxhound is 24 inches. A healthy Foxhound weighs 70 pounds.

Nature and Temperament

The breed is intense and brave in wars however, they remain gentle, sweet, loving and affectionate at home. They go very well with children and other canine pets. However, they may be unfriendly to other non-canine pets in same house. They have a melodious bark. In addition, many songs have melodious tones of Foxhound’s bay.
