Egyptian MauIn 1956, when Russian princess, Nathalie Troubetskoy left her exile in Italy and headed to United States, she was accompanied by three Egyptian Mau cats. The ancient Egyptians greatly respected this breed of cats and considered them as deities.

Body Description:

The Egyptian Mau is very delightful and has a striking appearance. Their head is medium in size and slightly rounded. Their muzzle flows into the existing wedges of the head. The ears are large and sharply pointed. The eyes are large, almond-shaped and are gooseberry green coloured. The body is long and graceful and has a cheetah-like stride. The tail is medium long, thick at the base and tapers slightly to the tip.

Egyptian Mau has a very smooth and short haired coat. The spots on the coat represent that of a leopard. Many people are attracted towards the wild spotted appearance of the Egyptian Mau.
