Chausie cat is large in size. It has a muscular build, sturdy legs and broad chest. Its colours include silver with black ticking, black, reddish fawn to ticked golden. Its legs, ears and tail have dark markings. Its tail is large about three quarters.

Coat of the Chausie cat is shorthaired. It has the colour solid black, brown and black with silver tip. The coat of adult Chausie displays stripes on legs and face.

Weight and Height Maximum weight of male cats is 25 pounds, whereas female cats weigh around 20 pounds. Average height of the cat is 16 inches.
Nature and Temperament This cat is friendly and loving. It is clever and watchful. Due to its faithfulness, breeders compare it with a family pet dog. It gets along well with children and similar pet animals. It hates staying at a single place for extended hours. Instead, it loves running around the house.
Activity

Chausie cat likes to play outdoors, as it is highly energetic and active. A feline companion along with many toys is enough for the cat to play. Apartment dwelling may not be suitable for this cat as it is mischievous by nature.
