Nature and Temperament

This dog breed is restless and spirited and always seeks for adventurous things to do. They are affectionate and gracious, bold and brave. They love to play as well as adore stimulation. They are alert and loyal and have a playful attitude. In addition, they have a special affinity for kids aging above six.

This breed is quite intrusive and quick learner. They are very sensitive and hence they need firm training. They like to learn tricks and without proper attention and training, they feel bored.

Health Care This dog breed has to be brushed many times every week and their hairs and eyes have to be trimmed. It is also necessary on the part of dog owners to give special attention in terms of feeding, since they tend to put on weight easily. However, they are very sensitive to fleas. In addition, they are not suitable for living out-of-doors and prefer to stay around family.
Surrounding They are highly energetic and benefit from brisk walks every day. They are more suitable for a surrounded backyard with ample space to sprint. However, they are not suitable for apartment or condominium living. They need supervision, while going for outside walk, since their natural intuition to dig and hunt may lead to danger.
Training

They are highly intelligent and sensitive. They need training to socialise and obey. They are able to handle heavy-handed and harsh methods of training. It is important to train them with respect, consistency and fairness. They need sufficient amount of physical and mental activity.
