Border Collies are the most intelligent among all breeds of dog. They are very helpful for herding cattle. Border Collies originated on the borders of England and Scotland and are popular as pet dogs since then. Border Collies are very famous breed, used in many Hollywood movies such as Babe, Bingo, Mad About You, Kung Pao, Snow Dogs, Dog Soldiers, and more.

Body Description:	Border Collies are now being used for sports activities because of their speed and agility. Border Collies are blessed with beauty and brains, hence they are intelligent, strong and loyal. Their medium size, long and colourful manes make them a very popular pet. Border Collies have moderate amount of coat. Their double coats can be slick and lush having many colours. However, black and white is the most common colour.
Weight and Height	Border Collies are 18 to 25 inches high. They weigh around 25 pounds to 45 pounds.
Nature and Temperament	Border Collies are the most intelligent breed of dog. They are very sensitive and need constant praise and attention. These dogs are very agile and obedient. Hence, they are used for various sports. They are very cooperative with other dogs and pets. Border Collies may get destructive, when they are bored. In addition, they require training to socialize from the beginning to prevent from becoming shy. If they are left alone for long periods, they create behaviour problems. Border Collies have excellent sense of navigation and they make good pets for blind people. Border Collies are not very friendly towards strangers, but are affectionate and protective towards their family and people they know.
Activities	Border Collies have significant amount of energy and stamina. They have to be kept occupied constantly. You may do this by providing a Border Collie with ample exercise and walks. Border Collie excels in playing Frisbee and enjoys play sessions with known family members.
Average lifespan	The average lifespan of Border Collies is 12-15 years
