BirmanThe “Birman” is derived from a French spelling of Burma. The history of this cat is still a mystery. Many people believe that the Birman cats moved from Burma in 1919 to France.

Body Description:

This cat is long, sturdy and large is size. Their all four feet are pure white in colour. Its head is broad rounded and strong. They have round eyes that add a sweet expression on their face. They have medium-sized ears. This cat has a tail of medium length.

This cat may have either a medium-sized coat or a coat with long hair. The texture of their coat is silky. The neck region has a heavy ruff. They have curly hair on the lower body especially the stomach region.

Weight and Height The male Birman weighs around 8 to 12 lbs, while the female Birman weighs around 7 to 9 lbs. Generally, this cat stands 11 inches tall.
Nature and Temperament This cat is active, playful and gentle. However, they have a tendency to remain quiet and inconspicuous, if their master or owner may be busy in their work. This cat is very affectionate and need someone to be around all the time. The Birman is curious and investigates readily if found some unknown thing. This makes them a little bit mischievous.
Activity

They enjoy playing indoor games. This cat is very lively and active.

Life Span This cat may survive up to 15 years of their age.
